Unreasonable Experience Expectations
I finally understand why companies are always endlessly looking for people with vast amounts of experience for mundane jobs, and that is because they want the world to have kicked you down to such a point that you have no expectation that you will ever have your own company or that you could do anything independently from the corporate path, this ensures that you will give your heart and soul to your job
When we are young and naive we get a job cos we need to survive and so that we can fund all the experiments we run on the side. after experimenting religiously on the side, you hopefully come to the conclusion that running/creating a company is not feasible which leads to the whole hearted contribution to their products and vision.
It is important to note that I don't think this is intentional but corporations rely heavily on statistics and analysing all sorts of factors and what trend tends to emerge is employees that started their tenure with greater experience were more likely to stay longer than those with less experience ( This is an assumption) because they have lost their aspirations and just want to make ends meet for their families
