Satisfying Answers

I have asked many people many questions, and a lot of them are superficial and meaningless questions whose answers are irrelevant, but there are some questions which you ponder and it is difficult to find a satisfying answer, by that I mean an answer that scratches the itch which the question posed.

I have a few such questions which i am still trying to find satisfying answers for and some for which i have found enough to satisfy me for now

What does it mean to know someone? 

Very often we say that we have friends or we know someone but to really know someone is really a thin line between the linguistic sense that you know them or that you know of them, so what does it really mean to know someone? The only answer I have been satisfied with so far is:

 Someone who in any given circumstance you know what they are likely to do
